Jennifer ‘Efa’ Mackenzie

So what’s it about?

In this episode we introduce you to Jennifer ‘Efa’ Mackenzie, a talented entertainer, singer-songwriter and dancer-choreographer originally from Northern NSW. Her music is relatable and her quirky choreography is contagious in a way that makes everybody both young and old want to dance.

We talk about Efa’s first single and music video release and the excitement of moving to the other side of Australia to study Performing Arts. We discuss having super powers and what it is that makes ‘You so Smooth’.

Efa is a singer-songwriter, dancer-choreographer who grew up in Glen Innes, New South Wales. Efa has a strong background in Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theatre which influence both her musical and choreographic style.

Efa started songwriting at 12 years old. Hardworking and determined, she commutes to Sydney via a 10 hour train ride in order to participate in various audition-based NSW public school creative arts programs, such as the Arts Unit while also balancing her secondary academics.

As a Bachelor of Performing Arts student enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, she is constantly challenged to produce work that is fresh and new. She applies this freshness into her music and is always competing against herself.
