So what’s it about?
In the interview, Gina Jeffreys talks about the early days, how her songwriting has evolved and the privilege of mentoring talented performers and songwriters in Australia. Gina also shares with us the story behind the single ‘Cash’ and the rumours about what music might be coming next…
Gina Jeffreys exploded onto the Australian Music scene after winning Starmaker at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. She became the first Australian female country artist to have album sales reach platinum status and has toured all over Australia and internationally. She has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, sung for 2 billion people in Shanghai and the Tour of Duty Concert in East Timor alongside John Farnham & Kylie Minogue. With a string of number 1 hits, 9 albums, 5 Golden Guitars, 2 APRA awards and 4 Aria nominations under her belt, they don’t come any more talented than this. Somehow in between, she has managed to set up the highly successful Gina Jeffreys Workshops and founded the charity event Walk of Life.
